Neovenator
About 120 million years ago, during the Lower Cretaceous period, a fierce species of carnivorous dinosaur dominated the area now known as Southern England. The bones were first discovered in 1978 in the cliffs of the Isle of Wight. Slowly, over a number of years this awesome creature was revealed. It had a sleek light form similar to that of Allosaurus from North America - but it was a lot faster. Neovenator, latin for 'New Hunter', had returned.
